The Royal Academy of Engineering's Annual Soiree

And now for something completely different as they say……
Cranfield University recently hosted the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Annual Soiree.

As part of the exhibition, ATP showcased the Pit Stop Challenge which Cranfield University use in management development programmes through their partnership with WilliamsF1.

A total of six teams with twelve students in each team all from the full time MBA programme battled through the day to be crowned ‘PitStop Champions’.

Each team was given the name of a prominent F1 team (or FOTA team – depending on your preference).

The two finalists were ‘Ferrari’ and ‘Brawn’, who had the ‘glory’ of performing in front of HRH Prince Phillip and a host of dignitaries and VIP guests during the evening.

'Ferrari’ won the day with a time of 9.25 seconds, and they also got an ‘unofficial’ best time of 6.9 seconds during one of their practice runs. Not quite full blown F1, but not far off it!
